Scattered small indentations and water spots to the covers. Inside front hinge just starting to crack, volume I. Some brown spotting to the outside page edges. Bookplate to the inside front cover, both volumes. Light foxing to the first and last few pages of both volumes. Gilt decorations and titles are sharp. ; Mustard-brown cloth lettered in gilt with a scarab design in black and gilt on the front covers, endpapers decorated with an Egyptian motif, xxiii, [1], 231 pages + 80 plates and plan; xxxiv, 277 pages + 89 plates.
